Inflatable bulk bag clamps for big bag and sack filling

By inflating the cuff or clamp, the respective container is held in place and at the same time tightly sealed. This prevents powders and granulates from escaping and thus enables low-dust filling and emptying. Typical areas of application besides bag and big bag filling are silo and container filling. We manufacture customised inflatable sleeves in all pipe diameters, bag diameters and in various lengths. If required, we can also supply them reinforced with fabric. We produce our inflatable cuffs as hand-made articles. All our cuffs are particularly durable, as we hot-vulcanise them and do not not glued. Our inflation sleeves are easy to fit due to their design.a hose clamp ensures a secure fit of the inflation sleeve.we recommend an operating pressure of 0.8 bar.we will be happy to advise you on the choice of material, design and connection options of the inflation sleeves or inflation clamps.

Inflatable cuffs Typ Classic

The inflatable cuffs type Classic – also known as inflation hose – are designed with only one collar.This collar is used to fix the inflatable cuff by means of a hose clamp.When filling, the inflatable cuff expands radially inwards and outwards and thus reliably fixes containers or bags.

Inflatable clamps Typ Compact

The inflation clamps type Compact are designed with one collar at the top and one collar at the bottom.Positioning is done via the two collars.Inflation clamps are usually clamped onto a pipe at the inner diameter and inflate radially outwards when filled.150 mm has proven to be the standard height.Of course we adapt inflation clamps to your installation requirements.

Inflatable cuffsType Premium

Inflation cuffs type Premium correspond in design to the type Classic. In addition, the type Premium contains a fabric insert to ensure greater safety at higher pressures.The inflation cuff is also clamped over the collar and positioned on a pipe at the inner diameter.When inflated, it expands radially inwards and outwards. Our team will be happy to advise you on your special solutions.

Sizes

We manufacture our inflation cuffs and inflation clamps from an inner diameter of 100 mm and a height of 130 mm.As a design aid, we recommend the following rule of thumb:

For inflation collars type Classic or type Premium:

Inner diameter of Big Bag nozzle minus 70 mm = inner diameter of inflation sleeve

For inflation collars type Compact:

Inner diameter Big Bag nozzle minus 50 mm = inner diameter inflation sleeveFrom this information, the size (inner diameter) for various variants and requirements can be derived.Before production, all dimensions or requirements must be recorded in a technical clarification.Each individually manufactured, hand-assembled part is then subjected to an initial test.

Air connections and valve type

For more than 90 percent of all air connections, we use V2A tubes (e.g. 6 x 1 mm), which are compatible with all “Festo” connections. Quick connectors for PA tubing, imperial or metric external threads are also conceivable.The number of connections depends on the respective requirements of your system.We supply V2A clamps for your inflation sleeve or inflation clamp if required.

We produce our inflatable sleeves in 4 standard qualities.We use natural rubber compounds as our standard technical quality.These have better mechanical properties than EPDM or other elastomers.They are characterised by high elasticity, good recovery behaviour and high abrasion resistance.We produce these in electrically conductive variants (black) or also in a light-coloured variant that is suitable for the food sector (FDA-compliant).The material EPDM is used when solvent or weather resistance is required. The EPDM we use is electrically conductive. In rare cases, oil and petrol resistance is required. In these cases, we use CR (chloroprene) as a material. Here is an overview of all materials. (PDF)
