Specialist for elastomer seals in hydraulic steel engineering
Large parts of Germany can be reached by inland waterways via the federal waterway network. The waterways have long been seen as a beacon of hope for the flow of goods across Germany, while freight transport by road is on the verge of collapse and the railways are running at their limits in many places.
Germany has a navigable waterway network of about 7300 km with a total of 170 locks along the Rhine, Neckar and Ruhr rivers. sixty percent of the locks were built from 1950, 20% of the locks even before 1900. A prerequisite for functioning inland navigation is regular maintenance or renovation of the locks, weirs, ship lifts or sheet pile walls.
Due to the many hydraulic engineering projects for the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration WSV and the associated Waterways and Shipping Offices WSA, we are familiar with the requirements and can fulfil the tasks in accordance with the standards and hydraulic engineering regulations.
Our references range from seals for canal bridges to seals for ship lifts.
We supply note profiles, angle profiles or elaborate sealing solutions with fabric reinforcements. However, our speciality is custom-made elastomer sealing solutions that go beyond the production of simple profiles. If desired, also as moulded articles with particularly tight tolerances.
